Dr. Melissa Lopez

Dr. A. Melissa Lopez is a Chicago-native who relocated to the Bay Area from the Midwest to join her husband, Dr. Ricky Singh.  They enjoy life in NorCal with their two daughters and their eldest, Hazelnut the Havanese.  

Dr. Melissa graduated from Chicago’s St. Ignatius College Prep in 1995.  She then moved to the East Coast to attend the University of Pennsylvania where over the next seven years she earned a BS in Biology from the College of Arts and Sciences, a DMD from the School of Dental Medicine and a MSEd from the Graduate School of Education.  Dr. Lopez then returned to her hometown of Chicago to complete a general practice residency and a pediatric dental specialty residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the University of Illinois at Chicago respectively.

Dr. Melissa is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and also holds a MPH degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.  

Dr. Lopez has served organized dentistry and the public through several positions on committees and boards of the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, the Greater Chicago Hispanic Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society; she is also a trained spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow of the American College of Dentists, and has helped film a pre-natal video for the American Dental Association.  

In 2010, Dr. Melissa completed the PURE Yoga 200hr teacher training to become a certified yoga teacher.  Besides her love of yoga, she also enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.  She is learning the art of cooking and would love it if you shared one of your favorite recipes with her!

 Dr. Judyth Lee
                                                   

Dr. Judyth Lee was born in Los Angeles and lived there until she was in middle school. Her formative years of childhood were spent in Hartwell, Georgia and she graduated from Hart County High School. She studied Microbiology at the University of Georgia and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Lee then moved to Boston and obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She continued her post-doctoral education and clinical training at NYU Lutheran Medical Center serving the underserved population of the Eastern Shore of Maryland through the pediatric dentistry residency program. After residency, Dr. Lee practiced in New York City and New Jersey.

During her time in NYC, Dr. Lee got engaged and has recently relocated to the Bay Area to join her husband, Mike. She enjoys exploring the Bay Area with Mike in her spare time and has adapted to the health-conscious and active lifestyle prevalent here! You can also find her at Clay by the Bay pursuing her other passion, pottery, and creating ceramic pieces for her new home.

Dr. Lee is a board-certified pediatric dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

 

     Dr. Lina Paek 

 Dr. Lina Paek grew up on the east side of Seattle. She received a B.S. in Science Preprofessional Studies
and Piano Performance from the University of Notre Dame. She then moved to New York and received
her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Her research on
early childhood caries won her the Birnberg Research Award in Public Health and Divisional Excellence in
Epidemiology and Statistics.

Dr. Lina completed her pediatric dental specialty training at New York
University College of Dentistry and Bellevue Hospital. She participated in local and international
outreach trips, including Poughkeepsie, Nicaragua, and Cambodia.
Dr. Lina is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a board member of the Berkeley
Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association,
California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is on staff
at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and has access and privileges to perform hospital
dentistry.

Dr. Lina met her Bay Area native husband in dental school and they now live in Berkeley. She and her
husband recently welcomed a new addition to their family last year and are enjoying all the new
discoveries that come with parenthood. She loves taking her daughter to Tilden Park, being out in
nature and cooking with local, organic food.
